ABOUT

The Medieval Translator series welcomes monographs and edited collections on any aspect of medieval translation theory and practice in medieval Europe. While our principal focus is upon textual translations from classical languages/medieval koinés into vernaculars and vice versa, and between vernaculars, we are also happy to consider studies of medieval intralingual and inter-medial translation (orality, text, images, objects), cultural and global translation, and the modern translation and repurposing of medieval texts.

The series also publishes the conference proceedings of the triennial international Medieval Translator conferences, which have been held at various locations across Europe since 1987.
