Manuscripta warmly welcomes volume proposals for article submissions.The journal accepts submissions on the material and textual aspects of the production, distribution, reception, and transmission of pre-modern manuscripts, including such topics as paleography, codicology, illumination, library history and provenance, reading and literacy, textual editing and transmission, and catalogues.

This journal offers different licence options. A standard licence gives Brepols the exclusive copyright for all published content. Gold Open Access articles will be published under a CC BY-NC 4.0 Licence. For these articles the copyright remains with the authors. Please discuss with your Publishing Manager if you or your funding body require an alternative CC-licence.
