Founded in Paris in 1926 by Jules Marouzeau, L’Année Philologique is published once a year and is considered an indispensable resource for research scholars. It aims to compile scholarly works on all aspects of Greek and Roman civilization, with a particular focus on auxiliary disciplines such as archaeology, epigraphy, numismatics, papyrology, and paleography. Book notices are accompanied by a list of reviews as they are published, while article notices include abstracts in English, German, Spanish, French, or Italian. L’Année Philologique has an international scope, reflected not only in the diverse origins of the publications it indexes but also in the nationalities of its contributing teams, based in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. Every year, its contents are added to the online database L’Année philologique sur Internet, which enables consultation of the entire collection by means of multiple search criteria.
