The aim of this series is to publish both monographs and collections of essays devoted to the history of European medicine, with special reference to history of medical literary and intellectual culture, and to the connections between medicine and the history of ideas. The series intends to provide scholars with both wide ranging and methodologically innovative studies concerning the history of medicine between the Middle Ages and the early modern period.
