The journal In Monte Artium offers papers which in one way or another relate to the ancient or modern book collections or to any other document kept in one of the heritage collections of the Royal Library of Belgium (manuscripts, prints & drawings, maps, coins & medals, etc.). The academic contributions deal with book history and book production as well as all aspects of technical innovations relating to the development of modern research libraries.
La revue In Monte Artium présente des articles qui, d’une façon ou d’une autre, se rapportent aux collections anciennes ou modernes, ou à tout autre document conservé dans les collections de la Bibliothèque Royale de Belgique (manuscrits, impressions et dessins, cartes, monnaies et médailles, etc.). Les contributions académiques concernent l’histoire du livre et de sa production ainsi que tous les aspects ou innovations techniques dans le domaine du développement des bibliothèques de recherche modernes.

Manuscripts are examined by the Editorial Board and then submitted, anonymously, to an expert member of the Advisory Board. In some cases a third opinion of an external expert can be solicited.
