								Summary

The collection of excerpts from classical, biblical, patristic, late antique and medieval Latin sources known as the miscellaneous Collectaneum of Sedulius Scottus survives only in one single MS. (Kues 52) and in a small fragment (Paris, B.N. l.750, f. 127r - 129v).
Apart from the otherwise unknown fragments of Cicero (published in 1866 by J. Klein) and the excerpts called the Proverbia Graecorum (edited by S. Hellmann in 1906) the present book provides the editio princeps of the Collectaneum, a florilegium that has been in large part responsible for our perception of Sedulius Scottus as one of the best educated and most industrious of Carolingian scholars.
