The best-known result of the Center’s interdisciplinary approach is the Corpus series in which numerous museum collections of Flemish paintings worldwide are rigorously studied by combining different scientific research methods. The texts are written by specialists and are richly illustrated with detail images and technical documentation. Two more series complete the field of research. The Repertory is dedicated to 15th and early 16th century paintings in scarcely known or hard to access collections. It mainly serves as a working tool for further scientific research. The Contributions, finally, gather the results of in-depth scientific research on a specific subject in Early Netherlandish art.
