Summary

This collection brings together a selection of the revised papers presented in the Third Greek-Balkan Colloquium (the first symposium was convoked in 2000 and focused on Greek-Romanian relations, and the second met in 2008 and examined Greek-Bulgarian literary and intellectual ties) on Greek-Serbian Relations (18th-19th centuries). The Greek-Serbian Colloquium took place in 2010 in Athens and it was organized by the Institute for Neohellenic Research / National Hellenic Research Foundation with the collaboration of the Institute for Balkan Studies / Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The volume includes an introductory essay by Paschalis M. Kitromilides, Director of the Institute at the time, and it is divided into three sections: Diplomatic Relations (Dušan T. Bataković, Ljubodrag P. Ristić), Comparative perspectives (Cedomir Antić, Miroslav Svirčević, Marios Hatzopoulos) and Social and cultural Relations (Ioannis Koubourlis, Djordje S. Kostić, Sophia Matthaiou, Sanja Lazarević Radak, Vojislav Pavlović, Ljiljana Stošić).
