The present research proposes an in-depth analysis of the Augustinian conception of the use of sins: first by returning to the notions of sin, the penalty of sin and the permission of sin, then by distinguishing the modalities of the putting to use of sin.
The Prix Serge Lancel is awarded in memory of the French historian, archaeologist, and philologist Serge Lancel, a leading specialist on Augustine.
