This is a series of critical editions of all the Latin texts of Christian writings from the first eight centuries. Taking account of the
most recent patristic research and studies, each critical edition - provided with full critical and source apparatus - is preceded
by an introduction, the most important part of which is the description of the manuscript tradition.
The Clavis Patrum Latinorum (CPL) provides a survey of all the Latin authors that will be published in the series. It contains a list
of the works, authentic and apocryphal, and of the editions published or in preparation for each author. The third edition of
the CPL was published in 1995.
