Altaistic Conference visits Brepols

The 43^rd Meeting of the Altaistic Conference (P.I.A.C.) visits Brepols Publishers & Turnhout (06.09.00)

Mr. Marcel Hendrickx, Bourgemestre of Turnhout and Member of Parliament, welcomed the P.I.A.C.-members personally in Turnhout.

During the academic session Mr. Hans Geybels gave an interesting introduction about the history of the Beguines in the Low Countries and Dr. Peter Zieme (Berlin) officially received the first copy of his new book “Vimalakirtinirdesasutra”.

Afterwards all participants were invited for a drink at Brepols’ 17^th century premises at the Beguinage of Turnhout.
