The International Center for Semiotic and Cognitive
Studies of the university at San Marino, promotes research and
interdisciplinary discussion in the fields of cognitive sciences,
semiotics, psychology, psycholinguistics, the philosophy of the mind and
artificial intelligence, trying to compare the European philosophical,
semiotic and linguistic tradition with the most recent research in
American cognitive sciences.
In workshops, which are the most frequent activities of
the Center, one or more internationally prominent scholars present the
results of their research, which are discussed by scholars of different
disciplines and by the audience. These proceedings form the basis for the
new series.
