The Bibliothèque de l’Antiquité Tardive series aims at the publication of monographs and miscellanies dealing with the archaeology of Late Antiquity. The series is directed by the editorial board of the journal Antiquité Tardive which in turn is directed by the Association pour l’Antiquité Tardive, recognised by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in France.

J.P. Migne made this collection a fairly complete series, drawing upon the best editions in his time. Out-of-print volumes are reprinted as needed. 

The 168 volumes of the Greek series ends at the Council of Florence in 1439. The Latin used in the introductions and notes and the Latin translations of Greek texts broadens the readership of this collection.

 

Patrologia Latina (PL)
Editorial responsibility:
This world-famous nineteenth-century undertaking gathered Latin texts from Tertullian through to Innocent III. J.P. Migne made his collection a fairly complete series, drawing upon the best editions of his time.

An update of the Patrologia Latina by A. Hamman, dating from 1958-1974.
