tried to respond to the needs of its users in different parts of the world.
Educational
institutions in North America have been classified into categories based on the
Carnegie Classification.
Campus Wide Subscription for single
institutions
The
Campus Wide Subscription Licence is meant for large institutions with users in
different academic departments.
Access
is unlimited and by IP address(es). Access also includes remote access.
An
archival CD-ROM that will be produced at the end of each calendar year is
included with the Campus Wide Subscription Licence or the user can opt for a
free subscription to the printed IMB.
Standard
Subscription Licence
The
Standard Subscription Licence is ideal for large institutions with fewer users
in relevant departments and average sized institutions who do not have the needs
for full-domain campus-wide access with an unlimited number of simultaneous
users.
The
Standard Subscription Licence offers access to the full information and
includes remote access but is limited to three simultaneous users. Access is
by IP address(es).
Basic
Subscription Licence (North America only)
The
Basic Subscription Licence is ideal for special libraries, high schools,
public libraries, academic departments and others who do not have the budgets,
resources, or the needs for a Standard Subscription Licence.
The
Basic Subscription Licence offers most of the features of Standard
Subscription Licence, but access is limited to one simultaneous user. Remote
access is not included in the Basic Subscription Licence. Access is by IP
address.
IMB
English – Online
An
“English-only Version” (IMB English – Online) has been created for
undergraduate colleges.
Individual
Subscription Licence
The
Individual Subscription Licence is available for personal use only. It offers
a single user name and password that must not be shared. Access to the service
is available from any computer, providing the correct user name and password
are entered.
