TheInternational Medieval Bibliography
was founded in 1967 to provide a comprehensive, current bibliography of
articles in journals and miscellany volumes worldwide. The IMB
now comprises 300,000 unrivalled records. A worldwide network of fifty
teams ensures regular coverage of 4,500 periodicals and a total of
5,000 miscellany volumes. The database includes 120,000 index terms,
classified in six types.
New features of IMB online:
15,000 new entries each year; quarterly updates covering
publications from 1967 up to 2002; greatly reduced time between the
classification of records and their availability; enhanced search
possibilities; multilingual thesauruses to support searches;
restricting searches by the language of the articles; ISBNs searchable;
search history function; coverage of periodicals.
