This series is dedicated to all aspects of music performance from the early modern period to the 20th century. It welcomes both monographs and collections of essays dedicated to performance and performativity, source studies, music in its context of production, music and theatricality, patronage, and the dissemination of music, along with studies of cultural transfers especially in transnational perspectives. The main languages are English and French, but individual essays can also be written in German, Italian, and Spanish.
