ABOUT

Disputatio publishes interdisciplinary scholarship about the intellectual culture and intellectual history of medieval Europe. The series seeks to promote dialogue among the various fields that study medieval texts and ideas and their diffusion and reception. In both monograph and edited collection formats, the volumes dispute the conventional boundaries in intellectual histories of the Middle Ages, whether disciplinary, chronological, geographical, gendered, racial, or ethnic. Disputatio encourages discussion between cultural and intellectual historians and scholars of political and social history. While the series is directed to an international audience, the primary language of publication is English.
